Today, we're officially announcing our first game: Space Dance Melee 2026. If you've been following along on social media, you may have caught glimpses. Now it's time to tell you everything.
What Is Space Dance Melee 2026?
Space Dance Melee 2026 is a frenetic action roguelite set in a cosmic arena where you are permanently outnumbered. Your job is to survive. Your tools are bullets, movement, and the most satisfying powerup system we could design.
Every run starts fresh. You pick up powerups that stack, compound, and interact with each other in ways that create genuinely surprising builds. The Crystal Spork turns your single bullet into a spread of nine. The Overclock Clock occasionally sends you into a temporary frenzy — double fire rate, double movement speed, for several seconds. The Pirate's Spyglass keeps stacking crit chance until your crits are guaranteed and your triple crits are likely.
Between waves, you spend at a networked shop. Buy from one tube — they all restock. That one mechanic changes the rhythm of an entire run.
Why This Game?
We've been playing roguelites for years. We love them for the same reason most people do: the feeling that the next run might be the best one yet. But we felt like a lot of games in the space were missing something — a certain physicality. The sense that every input matters, every upgrade makes a visible difference, every fight has feedback.
Space Dance Melee 2026 is our answer to that. The damage numbers fly. The screen reacts. The powerups stack until something unintended happens and you realize you've accidentally built something extraordinary.
When Can You Play It?
We're targeting a 2026 release on PC via Steam. We'll have more specifics as we get closer. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game on Steam to be notified the moment it launches.
We'll also be publishing regular devlogs here on the site — deep dives into how specific systems were designed and built. Follow us or subscribe to the newsletter to stay in the loop.
Thanks for being here at the beginning. This is going to be a fun ride.
